Wal-Asr - Before Midnight
Wal-Asr - Before Midnight Calligraphy painting on 5ftx5ft square canvas piece.“Wal-Asr”, written in arabic, is a verse from the Quran  It is made with oils and acrylic based paints. meaning: By the token of time. Time is fleeting. It’s like a ball that keeps on rolling down a hill. The challenging aspect of depicting time is that it is transcendental. It’s hard to pin-point and lives in a non-physical realm. The concept of fleeting time is illustrated by showcasing a clock one hour from midnight. Midnight, to some represents the end of day as well as the start of a new beginning.Time can be equated to the number of breaths that we take and no one knows when they will take their final breath.
